“Barcelona Goes Bridal” Combines Tradition, Innovation, and Education
The “Barcelona Goes Bridal!” project showcased dresses from 40 Catalan brands on a rotating hanger along Avenida Maria Cristina.
The aim was to engage the city, highlight local talent, and strengthen the bond between the event and its host location.
IED Barcelona used virtual reality glasses to showcase wedding dresses. The 2022/2023 graduate students in wedding dress design made the dresses. Visitors were able to see the final collections.
Three ex-students displayed their designs at the “Barcelona Goes Bridal!” event. The event had ten dresses and was a special collaboration with La Fura dels Baus.
BBFW 2024 emphasized its digital components with the theme “Now”. The event showcased more than 350 national and international brands, as well as young talent. This method showed the event’s flexibility and use of modern technology.
Barcelona Bridal Night: An Evening of Elegance and Love
The Barcelona Bridal Night is a well-attended event during the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. Famous for its elegance, emotion, and the debut of famous designers’ bridal collections. Over 450 guests attended the event, including famous fashion icons like Olivia Palermo and Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck.
